Wrestling Legend Ultimate Warrior Dies at Age 54
Wrestling legend and recent WWE Hall of Fame inductee The Ultimate Warrior has passed away. He was only 54 years old.
As a fan of the guy growing up this comes as a huge shock. Considering he was just inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this past Saturday and appeared on WWE television on Monday night.
James Brian Hellwig, who legally changed his name to “Warrior” back in 1993, was walking with his wife outside an Arizona hotel when he suddenly collapsed and never regained consciousness.
Personally, I idolized the guy as a kid. Doing some research apparently he and Vince McMahon (ceo of WWE) had a falling out in the mid 90’s and there was some bad blood for quite some time until recently when WWE invited Warrior to join their Hall of Fame. Some bridges were mended and he was inducted apparently this past Saturday. Then appeared one last time on WWE television on Monday night.
It’s almost as if he waited for this one moment before he left.
