Holy Halo, Batman. The world’s largest video game collection ever sold on eBay fetched a whopping $1.23 million dollars. That’s 1.23 million gold coins Mario would have to collect to afford such a massive library of awesome.

eBay seller Collector’s King is now a rich man after his gigantic collection sold for €999,999.99 ($1.23 million). How many games is that? Over 22,000 titles in 22 full sets of games. The auction included every Famicom (NES) game ever made. Even the rare ones you can never find separately. All in near mint condition in their boxes with instructions.

It also included every Famicom Disk game, every Virtual Boy game, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Nintendo DD64, Gamecube, Sega Master System, Game Gear, Mega Drive, 32X, Mega CD, Saturn, Dreamcast, PC Engine, NEC, and Pioneer Laseractive game. Did we miss anything? Probably.

Pictures alone can’t do this auction justice. But if you want to see all of the pics for yourself, and the gigantic list of games that he sold, then head over to the eBay listing. The listing was every gamer’s dream auction. Too bad 99.9% of us don’t have a million bucks to throw around. Guess we’ll just have to make do with our paltry collection of opened SNES games sitting in a cardboard box.
