So, the Houston Texans had a lot to look forward to at the start of the season, a shiny, new expensive quarterback, a promising rookie wide receiver, an exciting running back, and their outstanding defense, of course. Most of that is still intact, even though Brock Osweiler has struggled a bit, and the entire team from top to bottom looked absolutely pitiful last week against New England, but now there's another challenge, the possibility that star Defensive End J.J. Watt could miss the rest of the season.

After coming back from back surgery to repair a herniated disc, word is that he may have re-injured his back, and could be out for several months, if not the entire season.

According to a published report, an anonymous source, Watt could be placed on IR as early as today, and the team has not made any official announcement.

Watt missed the entire preseason recovering from surgery in July, he did not work out with the team Monday, but Head Coach Bill O'Brien said he just had the day off.

Now, I'm a Texans fan and I'm an optimist most of the time, and I do still think this team has the most talent that it's ever had. I also believe they'll do well this season, even without Watt.

Time to see what a difference good coaching can make.
