The need for speed. Everybody feels it once in a while, unfortunately, you don't get the chance to really fulfill it in everyday life. That's what the Texas Mile is all about, and this past weekend at Victoria Regional Airport, the inaugural running of the bi-annual event was a huge success.

A racing team from Fulshear, Texas called M2K Motorsports ran their record-setting 2005 Ford GT, and set 2 1-mile speed records, breaking their old record. Their best run hit a top speed of 293.6 mph and, if you want to get a taste of what that's like. check out this video. The next Texas Mile is scheduled for October 27th through 29th at Victoria Regional Airport.
