It was a big week to head online or to the record store if you were a hard rock fan, and Volbeat, Stone Sour and Device all saw positive results for their new records.

Danish rockers Volbeat had the top new hard rock album of the week as 'Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies' sold 39,000 copies to take the No. 9 position on the Billboard 200 Album Chart. The band recently stated via Twitter, "Feels great to tour the U.S. with a brand new album in our tracks!" The disc has been bolstered by the breakout single, 'The Hangman's Body Count,' and it's also doing quite well north of the border. The disc was battling it out for the top spot on the Canadian charts, which led the band to tweet, "We'll eat maple syrup every day for the rest of our lives!"

Stone Sour came next among the recent releases, as 'House of Gold & Bones, Part 2' sold 35,000 copies to place at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart. The band enjoyed a bit of an uptick in sales, as 'House of Gold & Bones, Part 1' sold 31,000 copies in its first week back in October. Frontman Corey Taylor tweeted, "My story is concluded. Thank you to everyone who has visited the 'House of Gold & Bones.' Enjoy." The disc is off to a great start thanks to the single 'Do Me a Favor.'

In addition, Taylor also championed the genre, urging fans to go out and get Device's self-titled debut disc as well. "Don't forget David Draiman and Device's new album comes out as well. Support our genre, support our music," tweeted the vocalist.

Speaking of Draiman, Device's self-titled debut arrived at No. 11 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart, selling 35,000 copies. Draiman stated via Twitter, "To my dear friends, colleagues and fellow artists. Thank you so much for your support. We could not have done it without you. Device." Device is currently scoring with the Top 10 hit 'Vilify.'
