More than 20 mobile kitchens made their way to Riverside park this past Saturday for the first ever Food Truck Festival. And despite the near record heat, residents are unanimous in saying "This needs to happen again".

With so many food options to choose from, patrons lined up for such treats as chorizo mac and cheese, pulled pork sliders, just about any colored sno cone you could ever want, and a beer bacon donut BLT. Yes, you read that right.

Chef Eddie Windwillow traveled from Killeen to be part of the festival with his business, Clunkers. Who specializes in donut sandwiches. Windwillow said he moved his family from Los Angeles to Texas in January after winning second place for his BLT on a donut in a restaurant competition.

The organizers of the event would like to eventually merge it with Victoria Market Days for a bigger opportunity for more vendors. Either way, I'd say the food truck fest was a hit and I'm almost certain it will definitely be back.
