Victoria Woman Claims Lotto Jackpot

A Victoria partnership is $24 million richer after stepping up to claim a Texas Lottery jackpot.

Jamie Schacherl, vice president of partnership Lucky Dog Future, claimed the Lotto Texas jackpot from the drawing held May 31, according to a news release issued Wednesday by the Texas Lottery Commission.

The winning ticket was sold at the Stripes store at 111 E. Morgan Ave. in Cuero.

The partnership's ticket matched all six numbers drawn (3-5-9-32-36-37) for the advertised $36.25 million jackpot. The partnership selected the cash option valued at $24,228,956.39. The convenience store also received a $362,500 retailer bonus for selling the winning ticket, according to the news release.

Lucky Dog Future LP officially formed June 30, with law firm BlumbergExcelsior Corporate Services Inc. as its registered agent, according to a Texas Secretary of State database online. The partnership is managed by Lucky Dog Future Management LLC, which formed on the same day, according to the database, with Jamie Schacherl of Bumgardner, Morrison and Co. LLP as the manager for the company.

Schacherl would not comment Wednesday afternoon.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Schacherl is a wealth management assistant at Bumgardner Morrison & Co. Financial in Victoria. She has been with the company, an accounting firm, for 14 years.

Lotto Texas drawings are held at 10:12 p.m. every Wednesday and Saturday.

A $33 million jackpot ticket sold in Moulton for the June 27 Mega Millions drawing has yet to be claimed.
