If your Dad is a Victoria Generals fan, he was pretty happy with a shutout performance over the Woodlands Strykers on Father's Day. 3 Generals pitchers combined their talents in the 8-0 win, marking the team's first shutout of the season.

Trey Wall, Nathan Humpal, and Kaleb Keith threw the combined shutout, with Wall picking  up his second win of the season to improve to 2-1, going five innings with two strikeouts, and allowing just four hits and two walks. Nathan Humpal allowed just two hits in three innings with one strikeout and Kaleb Keith pitched a hitless ninth inning with two strikeouts.

The Generals bats also came alive with all nine starters recorded picking up at least one hit each, while Hannon and Klonowski leading the way with two apiece.

With the win, the Generals improve to 11-5 on the season and the Strykers fall to 4-11.

The Generals have the day off today before returning to action at Riverside Stadium on Tuesday night at 7:05pm to take on the visiting East Texas Pump Jacks in the first game of a two-game series.  Tuesday night is Free Ticket Tuesday presented by Caterpillar.  All fans will get in for free to Tuesday night’s game courtesy of Caterpillar.
