Kids love playing baseball, right? I know when I was a kid, I couldn't get enough of it. When I couldn't play, I hung around on the sidelines and pretended to be a play-by-play announcer. Although I grew up in a city with a Major League team, we didn't have anything like the Victoria Generals. How cool is it that we can see some of the best potential Major Leaguers play, right in our own back yard? How awesome would it be for a kid that loves baseball to get schooled from some great talent? That's what it's all about this Saturday at the Victoria Generals Summer Baseball Camp.

The camp takes place Saturday, July 14th from 9am-noon at Riverside Stadium in Victoria. The camp is for kids from 8-16 yrs of age, and the cost is $40 per camper. Run by Generals Head Coach Chris Clemons, and campers will learn the fundamentals of throwing, fielding, hitting and base running. Players from this years Generals team will also be there serving as instructors, so the kids will get to learn from the players themselves.  You can register and get more info about the camp here.  Walk ups are also welcomed. It sounds like it will be pretty cool!
