Victoria Generals Bomb Brazos Valley 5-1

A great night of pitching for Victoria Generals starter Ryan Benitez, along with some key hitting powered the Victoria Generals over the Brazos Valley Bombers 5-1 last night, as the Generals kicked off a series against the Bombers.

Ryan Benitez went 6 scoreless innings on the mound for the Generals. Relievers James Swan and Jeff Chestnut closed out the game.

At the plate, Brian Portelli drove in 3 runs, David Paiz and Pedro Barrios also picked up RBI's.

The series continues tonight at 7:05 before the Generals head to The Woodlands to wrap up the regular season for the final 2 games.
