Victoria East Girls Golfers End Season at State Tourney

We have some pretty good golfers on the Victoria East Girls Golf Team, good enough that they went to the state tournament. Unfortunately, they didn't win, they finished 11th in the UIL Class 5A State Tournament at Wolfdancer Golf Club in Bastrop.

Zayda Cedillo tied for 33rd place and led East with a 2-day score of 174. Senior Madi Lake had an 88 two days in a row with a total score of 176. Lorin Dickey shot a 92, Maddie Mattocks a 101 and Kelsey Torres also a 101.

Still, making the tournament was pretty good for the Lady Titans who haven't qualified since 2006.
