Well it has been 1 week today since I started on my weight loss journey and so far, so good.  I started out weighing 392 pounds last Monday and this morning, exactly 1 week later, I weighed in at 385.  That is a loss of 7 pounds in a week.  What am I doing you ask?  Well, first things first...I would like to thank everyone who joined my Facebook page to offer up words of encouragement and share with me your tips and tricks...believe me, they really have helped.

Now the big secret, what did I do to lose 7 pounds in 1 week?  Well the answer is simple...I worked my ass off (well 7 pounds of it) and I changed my diet drastically.  It was nothing, when my wife and I lived in Huntsville, for us both to work late and neither of us felt like cooking when we got home.  So, the natural alternative, was to eat fast food or order a pizza.  That takes it's toll on you believe me.  I am happy to say that I have not had any fast food (not counting Subway low cal sandwiches) in almost 2 weeks and I've detoxed from all the effects from it I'm happy to say.  I've noticed an increased performance in the gym when I work out and it is no doubt due to the fresh, healthy fruits and veggies as well as extremely lean proteins (chicken, turkey and fish) that I cook on a daily basis.

Also, I've been taking supplements that I picked up over at Complete Nutrition...for those in Victoria they are located on North Navarro right across from Victoria Mall and next to Cherry Berry and Buffalo Wild Wings.....I know, I know...what a location for a health store right?  Well Brandon got me lined out on a supplement/vitamin regiment that has definitely increased my energy and perhaps has sped up my metabolism as well.  So big thanks to the guys and gals at Complete Nutrition for hopping on board my weight train.

So there is my first update, the one week mark and seven pounds gone.  This is only the beginning and I'm excited about the future.  I'm looking forward to dropping more and more weight as I progress in my workouts.  Right now, I'm just trying to get acclimated to the whole routine but that's the easy part.  The hard part comes from motivation but that is where the Facebook page has come in handy.

I hope you will continue to reach out, even if I don't know you I still want to hear from you.  Remember the strangers holding me accountable speech I gave last time?  Of course you do :)

Another update coming up next Monday or please feel free to follow my progress everyday at:
