The University of Houston-Victoria baseball team will be headed for its sixth appearance in the Association of Independent Institution Conference Baseball Championships on May 2-5 in Lawrenceville, Ga.

The Jaguars (22-18) are one of six teams to qualify for the double-elimination tournament. The Jaguars reached the championship game last year before falling to Georgia Gwinnett 11-0 in the final.

Joining UHV in the tournament will be host Georgia Gwinnett, along with California State San Marcos, West Virginia Tech, Fisher College and Ashford University.
The Jaguars won two conference titles in 2009 and 2010, and finished as runner-up twice (2011 and 2014).
The winner of the conference tournament will earn an automatic qualifying berth to the NAIA National Championships Opening Round Tournament on May 11-14 at a site to be determined. The opening round tournament winner will advance to the NAIA World Series to be held on May 22-29 in Lewiston, Idaho.
Seedings for the conference championship will be announced at a later date.
