UHV Earns National Accreditation in Strength & Conditioning

It's known as kinesiology and by definition, it's the study of muscular movement, the mechanics of the way humans move. That's what strength and conditioning coaches study, and now the kinesiology program at UHV has received national accreditation.

According to a press release, the University of Houston-Victoria has been recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association's Education Recognition Program.

UHV's Assistant professor of kinesiology Raymond Tucker calls the association "the gold standard in strength and training," adding that the certification is the best you can get for students interested in training and coaching at the college level.

The UHV kinesiology program is only one of five in the state to receive the accreditation, and another example of the quality of higher education available right here in Victoria.
