We didn't think it was possible for anyone to object to the concept of getting free new music from one of the world's most popular bands, but Tyler, the Creator found a way. Last night (Sept. 12), the rapper went on a multi-tweet rant about U2's decision to give away their new album, 'Songs of Innocence,' for free on iTunes.

Tyler, the Creator seemed to particularly object to the idea that the album was automatically added to the playlists of iTunes users without their prior knowledge or consent. He wrote, "Get off my f---ing phone. You couldn’t come up with an actual marketing idea? F--- @U2 I don't want you. F--- Bono. I didnt ask for you Im mad [sic]." Elsewhere, he compared the act to "waking up with a pimple or like a herpe [sic]." Despite repeatedly saying "F--- Bono," he eventually acknowledged that, "I kinda like the idea kinda" and admitted that "Bono is f---ing awesome" and "beast."

Born Tyler Okonma, Tyler, the Creator has been a member of the acclaimed and controversial hip-hop group Odd Future since 2007. He has also released two albums and a mixtape as a solo act. We've embedded all eight of his profanity-filled tweets below.
