Twitter User Thinks ‘KKK’ Is Racist, Doesn’t Realize It Refers to Strikeouts
This woman is not on the (fast) ball.
Twitter user @Sania90 has taken a lot of heat after posting a tweet (since deleted) criticizing the strikeout count at a recent Braves game — you know, the “K” signs fans post to keep tabs on how many punchouts the pitcher has recorded. Poor Sania noticed there were three Ks and mistakenly assumed the KKK that was on display was a show of support for the Ku Klux Klan.
See the screenshot below.
Are the Braves publicly supporting the KKK?

As you might imagine, the Twittersphere jumped all over Sania the way a home run hitter jumps on a curveball that doesn’t break.
You do realize that is the recorded number of strikeouts by the Braves pitcher, right?!

I'm black and this doesn't even offend me, come on ma'am

How about, the KKK are irrelevant and you have just given them attention for something only you are offended by

You're an idiot! That is an indicator of strikeouts. KKK indicates the pitcher has struck out 3 batters. Fans want to see more Ks. KKKKKKKKK

My initials is KKK. Does that offend you? I'm from Africa, I'm not offended. If you really want to advocate, talk Black on black homicide.

Welcome to 2017 America where a middle class white girl gets offended by a strikeout count at a baseball game.

But the use of 'k' to signify a strikeout predates the kkk…baseball won't change because you can't act like an adult.
