That 'Twins' sequel is still happening -- 'Triplets,' starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Danny DeVito, and Eddie Murphy, has just landed two interesting writers.

'Triplets,' the sequel to Ivan Reitman's 1988 comedy 'Twins,' will reunite Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito with the added bonus of Eddie Murphy. The first film followed the good-looking Schwarzenegger as he searched for his long-lost twin, only to find out the guy was a short, tubby crook (DeVito). The sequel will also be directed by Reitman, but will have the two brothers finding their third lost sibling: Eddie Murphy.

It sounds like it has the 50/50 chance of being either hilarious or awful -- or both -- but Deadline reports that Josh Gad and Ryan Dixon have been hired to script the project, and that gives us some hope. You may recognize Gad's work as a comedic actor -- he's appeared in 'Love and Other Drugs,' 'The Rocker,' 'The Book of Mormon,' and he produced and stars in the upcoming NBC comedy '1600 Penn.'

Schwarzenegger recently returned to acting after a stint as the governor of California, and we're most stoked about his upcoming film 'The Last Stand,' which sees him really dig back in to action with South Korean director Kim Jee-woon's first English-language film. DeVito currently stars on the FX series 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia,' while Eddie Murphy... Well, he's done some stuff we'd rather not talk about, but maybe 'Triplets' can turn that around.
