Director Michael Bay has promised that 'Transformers 4' (which we still can't believe isn't called 'Tr4snformers') will take the series in a new direction and the casting shows that he isn't kidding. Gone are Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox, in are Mark Wahlberg and the previously rumored but now confirmed Nicola Peltz.

You may not know who Nicola Peltz is off the top of your head, but remember that Megan Fox was a discovery back when she was cast in the first 'Transformers' film. Peltz's filmography is small, but you may remember her as Katara in M. Night Shyamalan's grand disaster 'The Last Airbender' and she currently has a role on 'Bates Motel.'

rumors circulated the web, the casting was confirmed through the official Michael Bay website's Twitter account after a fan asked if Megan Fox would be making an appearance in the new film:

You may remember that Fox and Bay didn't get along, with the actress referring to her director as "Hitler" in an interview. That led to her being written out of the third film and replaced by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Anyway, some fanboy's begging finally caused the site to spill the beans:
