Tony Iommi has finally admitted that there may indeed once again be a Black Sabbath reunion. In an interview with Metro.uk, the guitar legend, genre creator and now author, said that his relationship with original lead singer Ozzy Osbourne these days is good: “We’ve had our ups and downs in the past but it’s been blown out of proportion.”

He goes on to say that “we’ve never really fallen out.” This despite the fact that Ozzy infamously sued Iommi over the rights to the band name a while back. Unfazed by the drama, Iommi says of the lawsuit, “We’ve sorted that out now. These things crop up. You sort them out and then they go away.”

Ever the gentleman and innovator, Iommi is soon to have his autobiography, “Iron Man: My Journey Through Heaven And Hell With Black Sabbath” (DeCapo Press) issued. Weighing in at over 400 pages, it’s sure to quench the thirst of Sabbath fans everywhere.

Never say die, indeed!

When asked about the chances of a new Black Sabbath album he didn’t flinch, saying, “Who knows? It’s like when we had Ronnie James Dio with us, we broke up, got back together, did another album and tour you never know what’s around the corner.”

This adds fuel to the fire started when Ozzy recently stated that he and the band are “in the talking process” and bassist Geezer Butler saying, “All four of the band’s original members are interested in taking part in a reunion.”
