Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos Debuts The New Kindle DX At NYC’s Pace University

NEW YORK – MAY 06: Members of the media are given a demonstration of the new Kindle DX, which he unveiled at a press conference by Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos at the Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts at Pace University May 6, 2009 in New York City. Bezos was joined by Arthur Sulzberger, Jr., publisher of The New York Times and chairman of The New York Times Company. The Kindle DX, a new purpose-built reading device, features a larger 9.7-inch electronic paper display, built-in PDF reader, auto-rotate capability, and storage for up to 3,500 books. Amazon has also partnered with select major newspapers to offer readers discounts on the DX in return for long-term subscriptions.
