The Texas Mile Satisfies Your Need for Speed

Got a need for speed? Do you like to go fast, but can't get your Porsche to the Autobahn? That's what the Texas mile is all about. Anybody can drive whatever they have as fast as they can at the Texas Mile, which happens twice each year at the Chase Industrial Complex in Beeville.

The Fall event was held over the weekend, and there were some incredible speeds reached by drivers in cars from different classes including street legal, not street legal and exhibition.

Speeds well over 200 mph were reached, but I guarantee you it wasn't in my '73 Dodge Dart. Check out some video from past Texas mile events.
