Texas is a pretty good state when it comes to economics, we have pretty low unemployment, we offer lower taxes and incentives for business startups, we have a competent workforce,  but how does it fare for working mothers? Only fair to midland, according to a study.

The website WalletHub compared several metrics including daycare rankings, childcare costs, gender pay gap and others to see how we fare for working mothers.

Texas came in as the 33rd best state for moms in the workforce. We're tied for 3rd in the day care systems category, but came in as the 2nd worst in the category of female-to-male executive ratio.

These days, more moms are working moms, and women make up almost half of America's workforce but unfortunately, we still have a ways to go as far as pay gap, with women only making $0.79 on the dollar compared to men.
