Texas Longhorn Women Sweet 16 Bound

There may be a lot of excitement over the NCAA Men's College Basketball Tournament but, let's not forget that the women play some pretty good ball too. We mentioned that the Baylor Bears Men's team made the Sweet 16 over the weekend, and so did the women.

Brooke McCarty had 23 points as the Longhorns beat North Carolina State 84-80 to advance over the #6 seed in the tourney. Texas was the 3 seed. Joyner Holmes scored 16 points and had 9 rebounds in the win, knocking NC State out of their first Sweet 16 in 10 years.
