In the land of "everyone gets a participation trophy" it seems America, once again, is pandering to the lowest common denominator.

Students at Plano High School in Plano, TX are petitioning their school administration to have a change of heart. The administration aren't allowing kids who actively participated in National Honor Society to wear the special regalia they so deservedly earned the right to wear.

Having the honor of wearing said regalia is bestowed onto kids who maintain a high GPA as well as put in a certain amount of community service hours.

It's an honor that's not just given to anyone and that has some students crying foul. So, rather than let the people who put in the extra work shine...the administration said they want "All graduates to feel included in graduation ceremonies".

Are....you.....f'ing.....kidding......me?!?!

So, it seems rather than showcase those hard workers who put in the extra time and effort to make something of themselves at a younger age, they chose not to offend those who just skate by and barely make it.

This also equates to $15/hour to work at McDonald's later in life. Get it?

When we stop worrying about offending everyone and let things happen as they may is the day we can get back on track and push forward.

Let these kids wear the honors they've earned proudly....screw the participation trophies.

Wake up!
