Stop us if you've heard this one before. Following the cancellation of SeaWorld concerts by REO Speedwagon, Cheap Trick and Heart in the past week, 38 Special have just wiped the aquatic theme park off its list of upcoming shows.

SeaWorld's long year of ugly public-relations setbacks just got even worse: Joan Jett has served the theme park with a cease and desist letter demanding that they stop using her music as part of one of their most popular attractions.

Tommy Lee may not be a fan of SeaWorld, but the San Diego-based water attraction isn’t taking his criticism lying down. Lee initially fired off a letter on behalf of PETA to SeaWorld objecting to their usage of Motley Crue music during the ‘Shamu Rocks’ shows, claiming it tortured the animals.

For all of Tommy Lee‘s notoriously decadent exploits, it’s surprising to learn that he is a strong supporter of animal rights. The Motley Crue drummer is joining with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) to stop the “Shamu Rocks” attraction at the SeaWorld theme park in San Diego.
