2013 was a huge year for Queens of the Stone Age as they returned with the critically hailed '… Like Clockwork' album. But frontman Josh Homme has not forgotten about his other projects. The vocalist reveals that he's planning on collaborating with Jesse Hughes on another Eagles of Death Metal album while also discussing the status of his long-recurring 'Desert Sessions' project.
Josh Homme from Queens of the Stone Age recently sat down for a fan Q&A with Australia's Fasterlouder.com. Some of the questions he answered (watch above) included the Grammys, the Kyuss lawsuit, the possibility of another Desert Sessions album and his favorite ice cream flavor.
Queens of the Stone Age may have gotten the royal shaft at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards and it's something that still stings a little for Josh Homme, as was apparent after the frontman addressed it during a concert in Houston.
Queens of the Stone Age are a favorite in several categories as the 56th Annual Grammy Awards approach this Sunday (Jan. 26), and a good sign for their Sunday night is that the band has just been announced as the closing performers for "music's biggest night."
Queens of the Stone Age released 'Era Vulgaris' in 2007, then took several years before releasing last year's highly acclaimed '… Like Clockwork' album. After teasing a Motorhead appearance earlier in the day, the complete Coachella 2014 lineup was revealed late Wednesday night (Jan. 8). This year's event features the reunion of hip-heroes OutKast, alterna-rockers Muse and Grammy winners Arcade Fire headlining the three nights, though there is still plenty of rock to go around.
A big congrats is in order to Black Sabbath and Queens of the Stone Age as they're among the rock leaders for the 2013 Grammy Awards. Each of the acts received three nominations when the Grammy Awards nods were revealed Friday night (Dec. 6).
