Weatherman Peter Doocy was standing out on Rehoboth Beach in Delaware, showing how intense the ocean was becoming before the storm even arrived when something went wrong.

If your inner 15-year-old boy is screaming for entertainment, this is probably the video for you.

Well, here is a good example of a terrible person, if you were looking for one. Investigators in a case involving a missing four-year-old decided they were probably actually investigating a murder case. News reporter Kay Burley felt the strange compulsion to tell volunteers who were searching for the child that she was probably dead...

"Way to go, Dan. Way to make a baby boy cry on live television." Yeah, good job Dan. We especially like how once the baby starts to cry his impulse is to run awaaaaaayy, and then later to cheer the crying kid up with a bit of song and dance.

Katie Couric's new daytime show, 'Katie,' starts today. Maybe if we get all of this out of our systems, she'll have a smooth run. Or maybe it will just be wacky zoom city all over the place. Either way, sounds entertaining to us. Hopefully there won't be as many swear words as there are in some of these bloopers we found. Although, again, either way sounds entertaining to us.

News bloopers are awesome. I love to see these folks lose it on television, don't you? And when it involves animals, even better. Check out this video of a New Zealand news team introducing a video report that sends them into fits of laughter. It gives a whole new meaning to the term "donkey show."

Bloopers are great, Like the ones in the special features on a DVD. But the best ones of all, are the ones on live local news, because there's no director yelling "cut", with a chance to re-shoot the scene. What follows is a nice little compilation of some of the best of 2011. Enjoy!
