Monday is Martin Luther King Jr. Day, in which we're reminded about the late speaker's quest for civil rights equality.

Here’s a look at some interesting events that took place on this day in history: 1818 – The US Congress adopts a flag with 13 red and white stripes and one star for each state (More info) 1841 – President William Henry Harrison dies from pneumonia just one month after his inauguration (More info)

It seems like every major city in America has an MLK Blvd or Ave or St, right? Ironically Memphis hasn't...until now. Good, Lawd...It's 2012!!! Despite what happened there in April of 1968, Memphis IS 65% African American. Now I don't care one way or the other, but I was quite surprised to find out that Memphis is JUST NOW adding a street named after Martin Luther King.
