I don’t quite understand why, but people really seem to want to eat the Minions, the lovable yellow goobers from the Despicable Me franchise. When Minions came out, there were Minions Twinkies, and there have been Minions menus at IHOP too. Now generally I am a big fan of movie food, but this goes beyond my limits. The Minions are sentient beings; why would you want to consume them?!?

Universal was already bathing in its Furious 7 and Jurassic World money Scrooge McDuck-style before Minions opened this week. Now the studio is looking at its third truly massive hit of the year, a run that feels nearly unprecedented. Universal already released two of the biggest movies of all time within the past four months, and now it’s looking like it may have three.

The Minions are here! Yes, the characters from the ending of the movie Despicable Me 2 now have their own flick, which opened yesterday (July 10). I haven't seen it yet, but according to a review I heard yesterday, it sounds pretty cool. For one thing, there are plenty of voices by comedic actors, and for another, a great soundtrack.
