YEAYUHH! The new trailer for MY MAN Aquaman is here — but it’s not just any old trailer. This super-sized five-minute extended sneak peek gives us new looks at Arthur Curry’s journey from being a son of the land and the sea (and Nicole Kidman, boom) to becoming the king of the ocean…but first, he has to bring Atlantis back to life (or something).

By now you’re all familiar with Aquaman, the walking collection of action figure one-liners and whiskey swigs played by Jason Momoa in the DCEU. Thanks to Justice League, we know what Aquaman looks and sounds like — it might not even be crazy to suggest that we kind of know what he smells like, too. Salt water, whiskey, and leather, right? So while the latest image of Aquaman isn’t exactly a first look, it is most definitely our first look at Jason “MY MAN!” Momoa in his superhero’s solo movie.

Just in time for Jigsaw, we revisit the extremely convoluted mythology of the Saw franchise.

Would the horror genre work as the basis for a cinematic universe? It’s an interesting question. While horror films are certainly no strangers to sequels and prequels  —  there are eleven Friday the 13th movies, after all, and most of them are pretty much unrelated outside of their central villains  —  they are fairly reliant on individual characters to support the weight of new movies. There’s not enough depth to the Friday the 13th franchise to make a movie thatdoesn’t feature Jason Voorhees; for a horror film to truly inspire its own cinematic universe, you’d need a B-roll of characters who could each terrify audiences in their own right.

Just when you thought it was safe to buy dolls again…Nope. Here’s the first trailer for Annabelle 2, which, as the title suggests, is a sequel to last year’s relatively successful James Wan-produced spinoff of The Conjuring, featuring that damn creepy doll and her creepy antics. This time, she’s terrorizing a doll-maker, and that seems totally fair, to be honest, since he’s responsible for the creation of her kind and their endless suffering at the hands of ruthless children.

James Wan has firmly established himself as a modern master of horror with films like Saw, Insidious and The Conjuring, and though the filmmaker’s latest project isn’t one he directed himself, he is responsible for bringing it to the big screen. Wan produced Lights Out, and if the newest trailer for the upcoming horror flick is to be believed, you’re in for some serious scares.

In addition to directing The Conjuring 2, James Wan produced another horror film that’s also hitting theaters this year: Lights Out, the directorial debut of David Sandberg, based on his creepy short film of the same name. The first trailer is here, and it’s definitely something you want to watch with the lights on. But don’t feel embarrassed about it — everyone is afraid of the dark.

After taking a brief break from horror to direct Furious 7, James Wan returns to his genre home base for The Conjuring 2, the follow-up to his hit 2013 poltergeist thriller. The latest trailer for the sequel is packed with lots of new footage, as Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga travel across the pond to investigate a terrifying case known as “England’s Amityville” — a haunting so dangerous that one of them may not make it out alive.
