The Country Music Hall of Famer was 83 years old.

They may be mostly Country these days but, Charlie Daniels has always had their roots in Southern Rock. I remember seeing them twice in the 70's, once with the Marshall Tucker Band and once with Lynyrd Skynyrd. Both times, they were great.
