America may be all about baseball and apple pie, but beer certainly belongs in the discussion. And based on what I've seen in the places I've lived, I would have assumed that Texas was among the top 3, but it's not.

The Fourth of July means good food, parades and fireworks. Lots of fireworks.

July Fourth may conjure images of fireworks and hot dogs, but sitting in traffic could also be included among the festivities.

Thursday is Independence Day, and cities and towns all across America will be celebrating in style—but not always in conventional fashion. Heck, not always in America either.

American popular music has been around since before America even declared its independence. 'Yankee Doodle,' anyone? That classic was sung by Colonial American soldiers as early as the French and Indian War. Here’s a list of 10 to add to your Fourth of July playlist:

While most of us spent the Fourth of July showing off our backstroke in the pool and grillin’ burgers and dogs, supermodel and ‘Project Runway’ host Heidi Klum was laying out on the beach knockin’ back some brews. Most Americans spend the Fourth of July enjoying the relaxation of a day off from work, basking in warm summer weather and, perhaps, watching a brilliant fireworks show.

The legend of America’s birth is only 236 years old. However, in that short amount of time, a number of legends that would normally take centuries to grow and multiply in any other civilization have sprung up.

Here’s a fact that should shock absolutely no one. A survey conducted by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission indicates that most fireworks-related injuries take place during or around the Fourth of July holiday festivities.
