Sylosis Members Hospitalized After Serious RV Accident

Nuclear Blast

British metal act Sylosis have been reportedly involved in a serious RV accident while supporting Trivium and DevilDriver on tour. Three members of Sylosis are currently in the hospital as a result of the crash and the group has been forced to drop off the tour.

Sylosis have been enjoying a notable amount of attention as of late, although the group has been active since 2000. The band didn’t release their first full-length, ‘Conclusion of an Age,’ until 2008 and have gathered a mass of new fans with their third album, ‘Monolith,’ which was released in 2012.

Sylosis and the other touring acts are currently in Canada, where the accident most likely occurred. It was actually DevilDriver vocalist Dez Fafara who broke the news on Sylosis’ RV crash, as the musician sent out the following tweets earlier today (Sept. 25):

Thankfully, Sylosis have released a short statement via Facebook which boasts good news:

We are all alive and well! We will keep everyone updated as we go!

Unfortunately, it seems quite a few bands have been involved in bus/van/RV crashes lately. Of course, there have been famous bus crashes involving bands such as Metallica, Weezer and Alien Ant Farm where serious injuries and even death occurred. However, accidents seem to have taken a spike, with Baroness, Bret Michaels, Converge, the Cult, the Acacia Strain, Hinder, Asking Alexandria and now Sylosis all having suffered through bus crashes within the last year or so.

Our best wishes go out to Sylosis. Stay tuned for further updates on the band as news breaks.
