Pastor Les was recently admitted to the Cardiac ICU at Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Houston Medical Center. He was admitted for complications caused by worsening heart failure.

Originally, the goal was to find a medication regimen that would help Les get back to his everyday routine. Unfortunately, during the early course of this hospitalization, it was determined that Pastor Les will not be leaving the hospital in Houston without a heart transplant.  Les's heart failure is caused by a medical condition called idiopathic cardiomyopathy. For many years, doctors and specialists have tried to identify exactly what was causing his heart problems but nothing has been found. Despite Les's best efforts and working hard to stay as healthy as possible, his heart failure has continued to slowly worsen over time.  Over the last few months, his heart and health has rapidly declined.

On April 19th Les was made an offer for a new heart and they accepted! April 20th Les he went back for surgery around 3am. The new heart is in and beating and they are in the process of finishing everything up per LifePointe Fellowship facebook page. The last update posted was  : Les is doing well. He is still sedated some. He has been opening his eyes, nodding his head, and squeezing Tisa's hand to communicate with her. They are hopeful that tomorrow he will finally be able to sit up again. All of the nurses and doctors love Les and say he's doing wonderful! Keep the prayers going!

Please keep Les and his family in your prayers and thoughts.
