Attention Victoria Suddenlink subscribers. If you woke up this morning to turn on Nickelodeon for the kiddos you noticed....it's no longer available. That's because as of midnight last night, Suddenlink dropped all Viacom programming from it's lineup. Channels include Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central and VH1 just to name a few.

The reason? The usual BS. Viacom wants a 50% increase in it's price to carry it's programming although, according to Suddenlink, viewership of it's Viacom channels has declined in recent years.

But don't fret....Suddenlink has decided to add a couple of channels to offset the losses. Channels including FXX (An overflow of the FX channel operated by FOX) and Beck....yeah, Glen Beck has a channel and they want to give it to you....how not exciting.

So, until they decide to go to the bargaining table, Suddenlink customers are stuck without Viacom programming. With the exception of Comedy Central and maybe Nickelodeon for viewers with smaller children is it really a big loss losing MTV? They haven't had a music video on that channel in over a decade and it's since been full of teenage drama bull crap. But I digress. I wonder if this means your Suddenlink bill will reflect the changes of not having to pay for Viacom channels. I highly doubt it. Don't hold your breath waiting for a discount. It's most likely not happening.
