Well the internet is up in arms once again. This time over a bottle of soda. No kidding.

Apparently, from what I can gather, Pepsi was to release around 6500 special edition bottles of "Pepsi Perfect". If you are a fan of Back to the Future 2 you'll know exactly what that is.

If not, here it is in a nutshell. In the movie Back to the Future 2, Marty McFly and Doc travel to the future to....well...today! October 21, 2015. And Marty visits a diner that pays homage to the 1980's. He walks up to the counter and orders a Pepsi. He's given a Pepsi Perfect in an odd shaped futuristic bottle.....fast forward to today....again.

Still with me? Good. Well back here in the real world Pepsi was to release a special edition bottle of Pepsi Perfect to the public last night at midnight with bottles being sold on Amazon and Walmart sites. Well, according to a huge number of people, it seems Pepsi might have dropped the ball and released the bottles an hour before they were supposed to meaning when people logged on, they were already sold out.

Twitter is all the buzz about it this morning. People are disappointed in Pepsi and if it's true they should be. Even Amazon Prime members, who usually get first crack at everything, were in the dark about the early release. Some calling for boycotts of Pepsi.

As of this post there was no word from Pepsi regarding this potential blunder but if one come available, I will update this blog accordingly. Were you one of the lucky ones that got in on this early?

Oh and by the way....an empty bottle (yes, someone drank it) is up for sale on Ebay for just over $7,000 US

Crazy right?
