The Smashing Pumpkins are going back on the road this summer.

Billy Corgan, James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin have announced the Shiny and Oh So Bright Tour, a nearly two-month trek across North America arenas that brings three-fourths of the original lineup together for the first time since 2000. A reunion tour has been rumored for nearly two years, with chatter increasing during the past couple weeks.

"Some 30 years ago, as the Smashing Pumpkins, James Iha and I began a musical journey in the cramped rear bedroom of my father's house," Corgan said in a press release. "And so it's magic to me that we're able to coalesce once more around the incredible Jimmy Chamberlin to celebrate those songs we've made together."

After teasing a countdown clock on their website last week, the Smashing Pumpkins revealed the new tour with a video featuring Ali Laenger and LySandra Roberts, the two women who appeared on the cover of the band's 1993 breakthrough record, Siamese Dream. You can watch the trailer below.

The shows will begin on July 12 at the Gila River Arena in Phoenix and conclude on Sept. 7 at the Ford Idaho Center n Boise. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Feb. 23 at 10AM local time. You can see all the dates below and get full details at the band's website.

The shows' set list will be drawn exclusively from the albums the trio of original members recorded together in the '90s: Gish, Siamese Dream, Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, Adore and Machina/The Machines of God.

Corgan, guitarist Iha and drummer Chamberlin will be joined by Jeff Schroeder, who's played in later versions of the band since 2007. The tour's press announcement notes that having three guitars in the band "better emulates the signature tones and textures of their albums." It was originally believed that Schroeder would be playing bass in the group, replacing original member D'arcy Wretzky, whose feud with Corgan has been reignited in the past couple weeks after a brief reconciliation.

"This show and staging will be unlike any we've ever done and will feature a set unlike any we've ever played," Corgan said. "For if this is a chance at a new beginning, we plan on ushering it in with a real bang."
