SkillsUSA Competetion

SkillsUSA is a career and technical student organization that serves members who are enrolled in training programs in technical, skilled, and service occupations.   Jacob Caballero and Omar Garcia are seniors at Victoria East High School and are enrolled in the law enforcement course.  Jacob and Omar were selected out of their class to represent East High School and won district when they went to Laredo weeks ago.  Their victory now gives them the opportunity to compete statewide in Corpus Christi today and tomorrow.   Their competition is a team event and their instructor has  said they have both worked very hard to support each other to prepare for the felony traffic stop competition.  Both students have expressed the out pour of support and training they have received from their instructor Cris Pruitt, local law enforcement, fellow law enforcement  students, and family have been humbling.  We wish them the best of luck!
