Nearly a month after being told by Nikki Sixx that he should stop billing himself as the “former Skid Row singer,” Sebastian Bach has fired back. In a recent interview, he sarcastically thanked the Motley Crue bassist for giving him such valuable career advice.

“I actually just [let go of the 'former Skid Row singer' tag] this morning, I dropped it, so now I feel amazing,” Bach told VH1 Radio. “I just feel myself better as a human, ’cause I made the decision after I read him tell me that I should do that, ’cause I was wondering what to do and then I read that and I was, like, ‘Oh, now I know!’ I can’t believe it took me so long. As soon as I read that interview, I was, like, ‘Man, what would I do without somebody else telling me what I should do?’ Because I was waiting for somebody to tell me what to do with my life and now…now I’m okay. Now I feel great.”

On his radio show last month, Sixx took a swipe at Bach while reading a news story about his appearing on an upcoming celebrity singing television show called ‘Sing Your Face Off.’ “When is he gonna let go of ‘the former Skid Row?,’ he said. “I mean, at this point, dude, you’ve been out of Skid Row longer than Skid Row was even alive, Like, let it go! OK. He’s gonna have to impersonate different musical icons. It should be fascinating. It starts May 31 on ABC. Let me set my DVR to ‘Snooze.’”

Meanwhile, Bach has a new album out called ‘Give ‘Em Hell.’ The album features contributions from John 5, Steve Stevens and Duff McKagan.
