Say it Ain’t So!! Beloved Simpson’s Voice Actor Leaves The Show

Well it looks like Harry Shearer is leaving The Simpsons after 28 seasons on the show.

According to Shearer, the reason is because Simpsons parent company, 20th Century Fox, Doesn't allow it's actors under contract time or permission to pursue other work on the side. So my opinion is if you don't allow them to go make extra money, then by God pay them extra money! Simple right? Especially a popular guy who has been with you loyally since the beginning.

So, unless some last minute miracle deal can be reached, you'll have to do without the voices of Mr. Burns, Smithers, Ned Flanders, Kent Brockman, Scratchy, Principal Skinner, Kang, Lenny, Dr. Hibbert, Reverend Lovejoy, Otto, Eddie, Jasper, etc. I'm sure they'll get other voice actors to play the parts since The Simpsons aren't very keen on killing off characters. Especially the dozen or so I just mentioned.

So if this is the end then I say thank you to Harry Shearer for providing laughs throughout my youth....you will be sorely missed.
