Rush Bobbleheads Return to the Limelight-Get it?
They don't have a reputation for being the most tie-in-hungry rock band out there (cough), but the guys in Rush have enough of a sense of humor to sign off on the occasional oddball licensed product. Case in point: Rush bobblehead dolls.
Thanks to what's being described as "overwhelming demand," the band's bobbling likenesses recently made their return to the store at Rushbackstage.com, offering fans the opportunity to own miniature likenesses of the trio for the low, low price of $59.99.
Okay, so maybe that doesn't seem like such a small price to pay for a novelty product. But if you're a big fan of the band -- particularly "the time when the band wore Chinese robes, played doubleneck guitars, and Neil [Peart] had the most amazing moustache in rock music" -- these dolls may actually live up to the store's promise that they're "guaranteed to bring a smile to your face."
The dolls rejoin a robust lineup that includes a bewildering assortment of products, including Rush socks, Rush barstools, and -- for the fan who loves brain-teasers as much as they love listening to prog-flavored classic rock -- a thousand-piece puzzle made from the cover of the band's 'Signals' album.
