Victoria's public golf course in Riverside Park will open January, 6th. City officials made that announcement recently, after reaching the conclusion that it would be less expensive to manage it themselves rather than hiring a management company.

City Councilors budgeted $714,000 to operate the course. The golf course has been closed for about six months, and the new plan is part of a three year plan for the city to keep the course running.

Golfers pay between $10 and $45 to play the course, the prices based on the type of round their playing, the golfer's age, the time of day, and cart rental.
