Well if you ever needed proof that we live in a sue happy society, here you go. Although, this one might be just a little warranted.

San Francisco 49'ers backup running back Reggie Bush plans to sue the city of St. Louis over the concrete surrounding the field in Edward Jones Dome, home of the St. Louis Rams.

Bush sustained a season (and possible career ending) MCL tear on a play that saw him get run out of bounds and him slipping on nearby concrete. Bush's lawsuit will suggest the city of St. Louis, through its Sports Authority and Convention Bureau, was negligent in having the slippery and hard surface close to the field of play.

It's also note worthy that Cleveland Browns quarterback Josh McCown also slipped on it and ran into the wall a couple weeks ago. He clearly hurt his shoulder hitting the wall and left the game later with a shoulder injury.

Bush may have a case, especially given the fact that the Rams have since informed the NFL that they wanted to cover the concrete with something softer following Bush's injury.

As far as career ending injury goes....I think it's safe to say his career may have already been over. But that's a matter of opinion and you never want to see a player go down with an injury and never be able to play the game they love again.

We'll see what the outcome is.
