Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready Records With Lady Gaga and Paul McCartney
Gaga posted the news on her Instagram earlier this week. You can check out the picture above, where she's sandwiched between McCartney and McCready. She wrote that they had a “beautiful session” with “killer musicians, vibe and lots of laughs.” The social networking didn’t stop there. McCready headed to Twitter to say he’d had a “great day” in the studio with the two singers, going on to write that it “was an honor to work with” Lady Gaga, calling her voice “truly amazing.” And no, the love fest didn’t end there. Gaga replied to McCready, “it was so awesome working with you today! I meant what I said about Pearl Jam being life changing!” Check it out below.
McCready has been musically mixing it up, of late. The Pearl Jam guitarist recently played with the Seattle Symphony. On Jan. 30, he took part in their ‘Sonic Evolution’ series, where he helped the symphony play songs from Pearl Jam, Nirvana and more.
Tonight (Feb. 6), McCready’s Pearl Jam bandmate Eddie Vedder will help honor Bob Dylan during the 2015 MusiCares Person of the Year concert in Los Angeles. Vedder will perform, as well as Jack White and Beck. The Black Keys are also on the bill, but with drummer Patrick Carney still recovering from a shoulder injury, we're not sure if and in what form they'll take the stage to honor the great American songwriter.
