Ozzy Osbourne And Family Returning To Television In Animated Series

It’s been a few years since the Osbourne family were a regular presence on America’s television screens, and even longer since we were even remotely interested in anything they had to say. But that hasn’t stopped Sharon Osbourne from continuing her efforts to tarnish her husband’s musical legacy stay famous. Toronto’s Cuppa Coffee Studios is producing ‘The F’n Osbournes,’ a 20-episode stop-motion animated series starring the family, C21 Media is reporting.

“Teaming up with Cuppa Coffee has spawned a great opportunity to produce a unique animated prime-time show,”  said Sharon, who shares executive producer credit with her son, Jack. “I’ve been excited about animating our often crazy lives for a while now.”

Ozzy, Sharon, Jack and Kelly Osbourne will voice themselves in the series, which Jack swears will be “a radical and humorous new spin on our family.” He and Sharon also have a role in shaping the show’s scripts.

The show’s title suggests that the animated format will not sanitze the famously profane family, which has been backed up by Cuppa Coffee founder Adam Sheehan. “Although it is a cartoon, it’s certainly not one for little kids, bearing in mind the family that are at the root of it,”

Cuppa Coffee, whose studio produced MTV’s ‘Celebrity Deathmatch’ for its 2006-7 relaunch, will shop the series at the MIPTV market in Cannes, France in April.

Although Sharon Osbourne has been a staple on the CBS afternoon chat show, ‘The Talk,’ the rest of the Osbourne clan haven’t been on television together since the ill-fated ‘Osbournes: Reloaded’ variety show on Fox was cancelled in March 2009 after only one episode.
