The full 'Oz, the Great and Powerful' trailer is here and while it's being billed as a prequel to 'The Wizard of Oz' it unfortunately looks like it has more in common with 'Alice in Wonderland.'

While we were initially excited at the thought of Sam Raimi directing a 'Wizard of Oz' style film, it sadly looks like there's very little Raimi in this trailer at all (with the exception of the giant floating credit "From the Director of the 'Spider-Man' Trilogy").

The film stars James Franco as a huckster magician named Oscar who gets whisked away to Oz and is mistaken for the wizard everyone has been waiting for. There he teams up with Glinda (Michelle Williams), the Good Witch, to defeat the Wicked Witches and save the land of Oz. The trailer also gives us our first look at the new munchkins as well as Zach Braff as a talking monkey sidekick.

It may just be the Disney marketing (have you noticed the blatant similarities between the 'Oz' and 'Alice' movie posters?) but we're getting a very familiar vibe from this trailer. And while 'Alice' made over $1 billion for Disney, it wasn't exactly a very good movie and that has us worried.

What do you think? Watch the 'Oz, the Great and Powerful' trailer below and let us know if you're excited. 'Oz, the Great and Powerful' hits theaters on March 8th in 3D.
