Motley Crue may be enjoying the Australian summer down under at the moment, but the band will return to North America later this spring for more shows. The group recently announced an April-May trek that would take them through Canada, and now they've tacked on a number of U.S. stops to fill out their May itinerary.

After spending time north of the border from April 20 - May 14, the band will return to the States for shows beginning May 16 in Bangor, Maine. At present, the U.S. trek runs through May 25 in Atlantic City, N.J., though there are a couple of summer festival stops beyond the May trek. For ticketing details, click here.

The band was recently named one of the headliners at the 20th anniversary year of Rock Fest in Cadott, Wis., on July 21. In addition, they've signed on to play the Moondance Jam in Walker, Minn., on July 18.

The Crue released the song 'Sex' last year in time for their 2012 trek with Kiss, and they are said to be working on new music for 2013. Bassist Nikki Sixx recently stated, " We’ve been writing. We started the record with the song ‘Sex‘ and I have a ton of riffs. I know Mick [Mars] has told me he has a ton of riffs and it’s just a matter of now collecting riffs. For a while, it was only writing segments of music and getting together and collaborating but now I’m starting to finish music more like I used to more — like I used to in the old days — and finish it top to bottom. So I look forward to getting in the room with my band and going, ‘Here’s ten of my ideas, what have you got?’ and then we kind of let that process happen."
