More Accolades for UHV

The University of Houston-Victoria has received more national recognition for one of their degree programs, this one for counselor education.

The Council for Accreditation of Counseling & Related Educational Programs has accredited UHV's Master of Education in clinical mental health counseling for two years, ending October 31st of 2018.

The university's counseling program has also been accredited by the organization, making it the only programs in Coastal Bend cited by the organization.

Officials say the accreditation is good for students who are looking for employment in the field with national and federal agencies.
