Ministry have just released the track 'Permawar,' the first single from the act's upcoming 13th studio album, 'From Beer to Eternity.' 'Permawar' was one of the last songs ever recorded by the late Mike Scaccia, who died Dec. 23 onstage while performing with his other band Rigor Mortis.

'From Beer to Eternity' will be Ministry's final album. No, seriously, it's going to be their last … at least according to Ministry mastermind Al Jourgensen. The industrial legend has made that claim before, but after the passing of Mike Scaccia, Jourgensen claims that "there's no Ministry without him." Fans will understand exactly what Jourgensen means when 'From Beer to Eternity' is released on Sept. 6, as the record boasts some of Scaccia's most insane guitar work ever.

'Permawar' is one of the album's intro tracks before Ministry go full-speed-ahead into the meat of 'From Beer to Eternity.' "Me and Mikey, we would just jam around between country songs and we kept coming up with these riffs and Mikey kept going, 'Man we’ve got to put this out,'" Jourgensen told us in an exclusive interview. "I kept telling him Ministry is done, but he’s like, 'No, seriously dude. These riffs are cool; we have to put this out.' I kind of went into it begrudgingly and now I’m really quite happy with the result. I think this album came out like a great middle finger from me and Mikey as the final blow. So, I’m pretty happy with it."

'Permawar' is now available to buy on iTunes. Listen to the new track below and get excited for Ministry's parting shot (at least for now) 'From Beer to Eternity,' which will become available Sept. 6.
