Metallica have a treasure trove of gems compiled over the years and they're making two more available for fans to check out online. As the band ramps up to the deluxe Ride the Lightning box set, they've unleashed a pair of live songs from their March 15, 1985 performance at San Francisco's Kabuki Theatre.

The songs in question are the band's cover of Diamond Head's "Am I Evil?," a fan favorite cover over the years, and their own song "Motorbreath" from the same show. Both songs will be part of the bonus material that includes the full concert when the Ride the Lightning box set arrives on April 15. Take a listen in the player below.

The band is releasing not only the Ride the Lightning box, but also deluxe reissue of Kill 'Em All and a 2003 live recording of their concert at Paris' Le Bataclan on April 15, coinciding with the band's duties as Record Store Day ambassadors.

In addition to the two songs that come from a full concert on the Ride the Lightning set, fans can expect the original album to be remastered for vinyl and CD, while the live album recording in Los Angeles will also be available in vinyl. Plus, there's a "Creeping Death" picture disc, CDs filled with vintage interviews, demos, rough mixes, the Kabuki show, a London concert and a show recorded at the U.K.'s Donington castle. As if that weren't enough, there's also a DVD of the band playing the Metal Hammer Festival and Day on the Green, as well as a deluxe book. And if you prefer Kill 'Em All, look for a similar deluxe package surrounding that reissue.

At present, Metallica are working to finish up their next studio album. Drummer Lars Ulrich recently hinted that the band would be pretty busy in the latter half of 2016. The group did just announce an Aug. 20 performance, serving as the headliners for the first rock show to take place at Minneapolis' U.S. Bank Stadium.
